Risk Management Policies for Visitors to our Farm

 

The Silver Rill Corn Owners and staff welcome all visitors to their Market and Corn Maze. We wish to make your time with us memorable, fun and safe.

 

To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety we expect all our visitors to obey the following instructions, rules, and guidelines at all times.

 

  • All visitors must comply with Silver Rill staff instructions and requests, as well as signage. Failure to do so may lead to injury, removal from an activity and ejection from the premises.
  • All visitors, especially pre-school children and school aged children, must be familiar with the use of STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, and GO safety practice.
  • In the event of a medical emergency, Silver Rill staff may only provide some basic first aid and a 911 call-in.
  • Our Maze’s operating hours can be weather dependent.  Silver Rill Corn reserves the right to open and close the Corn Maze as deemed necessary..
  • Visitors are responsible for dressing to prevailing weather conditions. Sensible shoes for walking on gravel, hog fuel and dirt are a must. Nighttime visitors riding the train may bring a small blanket for extra comfort.
  • Most pathways and attractions are wheelchair and stroller friendly under ideal weather conditions.
  • No dogs are allowed in the Corn Maze. With the exception of Service Dogs..
  • Children must be under Parent/Supervisor/Leader adult care at all times. Adults who are Parents/Supervisors/Leaders, in addition to what is generally expected, must specifically ensure children in their care understand and apply the rules stated and/or posted for the activity they are involved with while on Silver Rill premises. In situations where there is non-compliance toward any safety rules, or a behavior is hazardous to self and/or others, Parent/Supervisor/Leader adults must act with appropriate measures to restore the necessary and applicable correct behaviors.
  • Silver Rill Corn requests:  per 10 children; 13 years and over, 1 adult per 15 children.
  • Illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco and fireworks are not permitted on Silver Rill premises.
  • Individuals wishing to smoke cigarettes or vape may do so only in their parked vehicle.
  • All visitors are expected to report incidents of danger to self and/or public safety, injury, property damage and equipment malfunctions to Silver Rill Staff before leaving the premises.

 

 

 

 

 

 Corn Maze Rules

 

  • No smoking
  • No littering
  • No running
  • Stay on paths
  • Proper footwear required
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
  • No throwing ANYTHING!
  • Do not damage or throw corn
  • No foul language
  • No damaging props or displays

 

 

 

Failure to comply with these rules will result in an immediate eviction from the farm without refund.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Professional Photography

 

Space on walkways can be limited and for the benefit of all our attendees we need to maintain how many photoshoots we can accommodate at once. As such, there will only be a limited number of “Professional Photography” tickets allowed each day. These time slots MUST be pre arranged by phoning 778-351-4920 with a minimum of 72 hour notice. Total number of attendees for photoshoots must be given to Silver Rill Staff at this time. The cost for Photographers is $50 which includes the photographer's admission only. The time allotted for the photography session is a Maximum of 1 Hour in and around the Maze.

 

 

 

Group Events:

 

Silver Rill Corn Maze can accommodate group events on the Property. We have picnic tables and designated spaces that are for reservation only. Walk-in parties and events will not be allowed.

 

All events/parties/large groups may be subject to additional charges and must call ahead to prearrange their events. 72 hours is the minimum amount of time to call ahead to Silver Rill Staff at 778-351-4920. This allows us to have additional staff on premises if deemed necessary. All events will be allowed to take place, only during operational hours.
